Trey Sermon probably won't make the 53-man roster, but he can ball.
If you're like the rest of us, your imaginary depth chart hasn't seen any changes to the running back position since the most recent NFL Draft. The new guys, Rashaad Penny and D'Andre Swift, are RB1 and RB2. Some may argue over which guy deserves which label. Most have Penny as RB1 (so do we). It is also expected that Philly will keep four guys, the latter two being Kenneth Gainwell and Boston Scott.
Keep that in the back of your mind though. We have so many other things to talk about ahead of Philly's walkthrough on Monday, July 31st.
If we're correct (and, we believe we are), at best, Trey Sermon and Kennedy Brooks will make the practice squad. Don't tell Trey that though. He has impressed and is being talked about, but again, would Philly carry five RBs on the 53-man roster? That's the question, and if we had to guess, we'd say they wouldn't.
