Don't panic, but Kelee Ringo stands out for the wrong reasons.

Again, don't panic. Much of what we have seen from Kelee Ringo has demonstrated what we have heard leading up to the most recent NFL Draft and in the months that have followed. He's a rookie. He will improve. No one shouldn't be worried that he isn't the prototypical corner yet.

Ringo is an elite athlete whose cover skills can be polished. There's a tendency to lose track of the ball when it's in the air.

He'll make the team because Philly will lose him if they place him on the practice squad or if they try to sneak him through waivers, but he isn't ready for a backup role. He had his measure taken by Joseph Ngata and Charleston Rambo. He would have also given up another big play had Deon Cain not bailed him out by dropping a pass.

Be encouraged that his former UGA teammates are shining. D'Andre Swift did a nice job of tracking the ball and hauled in a pass while falling down on a wheel route versus Nicholas Morrow. Jordan Davis showed some athleticism and did a great job of disrupting an attempted screen pass.

Davis didn't lose any weight by the way. Those are his words, not ours. He simply got himself in better shape, so he looks lighter because he is more toned. He says he's still in the 340 to 345-pound range.
