The Philadelphia Eagles medical team is undefeated. That isn't football jargon, nor is it something we'd classify as satisfactory journalism or one of the NFL's unwritten rules. Maybe it should be though. Dallas Goedert said he was ready to play in Week 13 versus the San Francisco 49ers. Team doctors said he wasn't. You see who won that battle. Fast forward to the present, and Number 88 is again saying he's ready to go.
You heard what he said. Well most of you did anyway, the "Dallas in Dallas has a ring to it" thing. He has a point. It does when you think about it.
Is Philly's best tight end ready to make his return though? Here's the good news. He took another step in the right direction on Wednesday.
Dallas Goedert was listed as a full participant at Wednesday's Eagles practice session.
On most weeks, our current for instance, Wednesdays mean midweek injury reports. Philly dropped its first injury update on Hump Day after closing Justin Evans' practice window and determining he'll be on the injured reserve for the remainder of the regular season. Dallas Goedert was a full participant at practice.
When is Dallas Goedert coming back?
If you'll remember, Dallas Goedert was never placed on Philly's injured reserve as it was determined that he could return before the four-week span that he would have been required to sit out. He missed Week 11's game versus the Kansas City Chiefs as well as Week 12 and Week 13's games versus the Buffalo Bills and the 49ers respectively.
Had he gone to the IR. he would have missed the coming game as well, but no one will complain that he's a little ahead of schedule. A return versus the Dallas Cowboys in Dallas is indeed likely.
