Have you ever seen something and you wished that you could unsee it? That happened today. Philadelphia Eagles defensive backs Darius Slay and Justin Evans, after missing Wednesday's practice with injuries, sat out of another session on Thursday.

Okay... Now, we're worried. Again, it's Thursday. That means they each have an additional day to allow their bodies to heal; however, this week flew by quickly, and as time goes by, it appears there's a chance that they'll miss Week 6's game versus the New York Jets. That brings us to the rookie.

Jalen Carter sits out of Thursday's practice session with an ankle injury.

Again, there are times when you see something and you wish you hadn't. Jalen Carter didn't participate in Thursday's practice because of an ankle injury. Check out the full list of mentioned injuries below.

Carter didn't leave Week 5's game versus the Los Angeles Rams early, and he practiced on Wednesday. With that being said, hopefully, this is something minor that won't force him to miss time. As of right now, however, it's too early to make assumptions, but that doesn't mean that people aren't talking.

Here's some insight from NBC Sports Philly's Dave Zangaro.

"Carter’s injury is certainly something to monitor as the Eagles get closer to Sunday’s 4:25 p.m. kickoff on Sunday at MetLife Stadium against the Jets. The good news at the defensive tackle position is that there’s a chance the Eagles could have Fletcher Cox (back) and Marlon Tuipulotu (triceps) back on Sunday. Cox was a full participant on Friday after being limited on Wednesday. And Tuipulotu was back as a limited participant after missing the first day of the week."

Nakobe Dean told NBC Sports Philadelphia's Reuben Frank and others that he's "close to 100 percent and seems to be trending toward playing Sunday but nothing certain yet".

Defensive tackle Fletcher Cox (back) and Sydney Brown (hamstring) were both limited on Wednesday. Both practiced on Thursday.

Brown was limited, Fletch was a full participant. Defensive tackle Marlon Tuipulotu hadn’t practiced since suffering a triceps injury versus Washington in Week 4. He also returned on Thursday.

The Jets are dealing with injuries as well. Tailback Nick Bawden (calf), cornerback Brandin Echols (hamstring), and defensive back Justin Hardee (hamstring) all missed practice on Wednesday, and that isn't the half of it.

Offensive tackle Mekhi Becton (knee), Cornerback D.J. Reed (concussion), and offensive tackle Billy Turner (toe) were limited. Defensive end Micheal Clemons (ankle) and guard Joe Tippmann (knee) were full participants.

Bawden returned to practice on Thursday but was limited. Clemons, after being a full participant on Wednesday, was limited on Friday.

This story is developing, so keep it locked. We'll let you know if there are any updates.

Update: October 13th (1:24 p.m. EST)

Per JAKIB Sports mainstay Derrick Gunn, Carter and Slay are out. Philly is expected to release its status report later on Friday.
