Injuries suck. That's about as blunt as we can be. We expect we'll see some from time to time. After all they're unavoidable, right? But, on the heels of a stressful but entertaining Philadelphia Eagles vs Green Bay Packers clash. our thoughts are about Jordan Love. We're praying an ugly-looking late-game injury isn't serious.

We did some digging. Dr. Jessica Flynn, an expert in sports medicine provided a diagnosis shortly after this one wrapped.

"Jordan Love was injured at the end of the game as he was tackled by a player already on the ground. Love had his left knee examined by the medical staff on the field and was able to walk off with assistance. With that type of injury, we worry most about the MCL in the knee and the high ankle. For now, (we're) hoping for the best and awaiting news from the team."

Jalen Hurts offers a show of respect in a classy gesture to an injured Jordan Love.

They say the NFL is a contact sport. That isn't true. Football is a collision sport. For the most part, the Philadelphia Eagles leave Brazil unscathed, but this is the NFL. Everyone is injured. The question is this. Will Jordan Love miss any time because of his injury?

No one knows what Love is thinking. We can guess. We can also show support, or we can live vicariously through the players on our favorite players on the teams we cheer for.

It's easy to cheer for Hurts. Before kickoff, we learned he'd donate $5k to schools in the Philly area for each TD he scores. After the game, he sought out Jordan Love to offer a show of respect and encouragement.

Many of you will dismiss this by saying 'quarterbacks always meet each other after the game to exchange a handshake'. You all have missed the point. Hurts made an extra effort, and we salute him for that. It took effort to do what he did, and we respect him for taking an extra step here.

We say this often, but often, fans diminish NFL players to Fantasy stats and Madden ratings. These are people, and it was nice to see two guys share a moment as humans. It was nice to see after seeing two proud franchises throw haymakers for four long quarters.
