His visibility has grown. His popularity in the City of Brotherly Love is approaching what we used to see when Allen Iverson was still hooping. Philadelphia Eagles star quarterback Jalen Hurts is on fire. His game has elevated. He has evolved as a passer. We won't even bring up his dedication and leadership abilities. Do you know a more mature 25-year-old?

QB1 is 31-12 as a starter. That includes 24 wins in his last 28 starts over the past two seasons. Four playoff games are included in that tally. Fresh off the break, he has removed the knee brace, and now Philly enters its toughest stretch of the 2023 NFL campaign.

It's hard to remember a time when Hurts' team has needed them more than it needs him right now. Last year's playoff game comes to mind.

Here we sit. Philly enters a murderer's row that lasts from Week 11 to Week 15. Every team that they face will probably qualify for the postseason.

Jalen Hurts and his teammates will have to be at their best. Here's a recap of QB1's season so far.

Jalen Hurts midseason report card

At the time of this story's publishing, nine games of the Eagles' 2023 regular-season campaign are in our rearview mirror. One contest remains on Week 11's slate of games, Philly's clash on Monday Night Football versus the Kansas City Chiefs.

That being said, it's hard to call the following midseason grades. You get where we're coming from though.

Analysis:

Everyone in the Delaware Valley and Eagles fans all over the globe stood up and cheered when Jalen Hurts announced he had removed the brace from his knee. Fingers are crossed that he remains healthy the rest of the way. As you know, this team won't go anywhere with Marcus Mariota at the helm of its offense.

We have seen the worst that QB1 has to offer (Week 6 versus the Kansas City Chiefs). We have seen sustained flashes of brilliance. He has eclipsed a quarterback rating of 100 in each of Philly's last three games.

If Jalen continues his incline, the Eagles can beat anybody. Ebbs and flows will occur. There will be ups and downs, but we're satisfied with our QB thus far in 2023's season.
