Football is the ultimate team game, but it's also one that is played by individuals who, occasionally, make big plays and achieve some pretty nifty milestones. We know some of you believe that some of your favorite Philadelphia Eagles players 'only care about winning'. You're lying to yourselves. These guys have families. They have goals. They need those personal milestones and Pro Bowl nods to earn those big contracts you see us talk about.

True... Jalen Hurts values winning above all else. So do his teammates, but those MVP-level seasons transform second-round draft picks into guys who sign $250 million extensions. DeVonta Smith has a while before he'll get a nice payday. The Birds have a fifth-year option on his deal that they can employ by him being a first-round draft choice. Make no mistake about it though. He's going to cash in.

These phenomenal Birds combined for a beautiful TD toss in catch during the second quarter. Don't take our word for it. Take a look for yourselves.

They also made a little history in the first half of the Eagles vs. Giants game.

Jalen Hurts sets an NFL record. DeVonta Smith continues the brilliant start we've seen to his career.

DeVonta Smith's first season in the NFL saw him set an Eagles franchise record for receiving yards by a rookie. In his sophomore campaign, he caught the most passes ever hauled in during a single season by an Eagles wide receiver. Dallas Goedert still owns the record for most catches by any Eagles player. regardless of position.

Week 16's game versus the New York Giants saw Jalen and DeVonta enjoy personal achievements. QB1 set an NFL record for rushing TDs by a quarterback. DeVonta has now racked 1,000 receiving yards in back to back seasons.

DeVonta joins DeSean Jackson and Mike Quick as the lone Eagles receivers who have enjoyed multiple 1,000-yard receiving seasons during their first three seasons in the NFL. Congratulations are in order. We tip our caps to both.
