Before we type another word, this feels like a good time to give a good man his flowers. James Bradberry is the consumate professional. Sure, we may have asked questions about his future with the Philadelphia Eagles and whether or not he'd show up to mandatory minicamp in light of the questions, but we expected he'd show up by his own volition.

Philly drafted Quinyon Mitchell and Cooper DeJean with their first two picks during the most recent NFL Draft. That prompted some to ask, following a rough showing in 2023, if Philly might move on from the 2022 Second-Team All-Pro.

Keep in mind the fact that the Birds also added Isaiah Rodgers and drafted Kelee Ringo last season.

James Bradberry works out at a new position but leaves the Eagles' first mandatory minicamp practice with an injury.

June came quickly which means training camp and the preseason might come more quickly. That's okay, three days are certain to give us plenty to discuss. Wouldn't you know it? This brings us right back to Mr. Bradberry.

Philly's first minicamp practice was open to the media. James worked out some at the safety position, but he unfortunately left following individual workouts with an apparent injury.

First things first. We hope he's okay and this isn't something serious. The position switch is interesting though.

This may not mean anything. That's worth noting. He took snaps at slot corner during offseason workouts last year, but it could also mean something. Cooper DeJean and Quinyon Mitchell could play huge roles in year one, and moving James could be an attempt to get all of the guys on the field at the same time.
