Jason Kelce lost his Eagles Super Bowl ring in the worst possible way

This seems like something that would only happen to Jason Kelce.

Winning Super Bowl LVII as a member of the Philadelphia Eagles is a moment that the recently retired Jason Kelce will never forget. But, unfortunately for Kelce, his Super Bowl ring is now M.I.A.

On a recent episode of his "New Heights" podcast, Kelce revealed that he recently lost his ring while hosting a competition at the University of Cincinnati that involved a game where the competitors had to sift through vats of chili.

It's in the chili!

Kelce's Super Bowl ring was apparently hidden in the chili for the contestants to locate. The problem is that the ring wasn't located, and now it's officially lost, according to Kelce.

"I legitimately lost my Super Bowl ring in this event," Kelce said. "They could not find it. . . . We have still yet to find it. . . . All of this stuff has now been thrown away, so I think we can safely assume that my Super Bowl ring is now in a landfill someplace in the Cincinnati tri-state area. I didn't think that would happen."

Kelce clearly wasn't happy about the loss. He said he plans to have a new ring made to replace the lost one, and an insurance claim has already been placed.

"The Super Bowl ring is officially gone. We've already put the insurance claim in, which the insurance company might have some things to say about whether they're going to cover that," Kelce said.

The good news for Kelce is that he probably will be able to get a new ring made in order to commemorate the first Super Bowl victory in Eagles franchise history. Moving forward though, he'll probably want to be a little bit more careful with the new one, and he may want to avoid having it anywhere near large vats of chili.
