Josh Sweat will rightfully remain in Philly after reportedly agreeing to restructured deal

Sweaty isn't going anywhere, and frankly, we aren't complaining.

At this point, we're running out of words to describe how awesome this feels. We're going to have to create new ones, words that contain words like phenomenal, genius, and Howie Roseman's name. Following a week of discussions that birthed from the Philadelphia Eagles' decision to shop Josh Sweat to interested parties for a trade, we've arrived at a happy ending.

Number 94, the guy with the coolest sack celebration in the NFL, is staying home. Sweaty isn't going anywhere.

Ian Rapoport and Tom Pelissero confirm Josh Sweat is staying with the Eagles.

In a world where you know who has turned a pretty cool social media platform into a joke, we can still be thankful that some of the voices there can still be trusted. Yes, blue checkmarks can be purchased now if you'd like to pay the monthly installment fee, but Ian Rapoport and Tom Pelissero are still around and putting in work. It's enough to make one wonder when these guys sleep.

Sorry, we had to get that out. Where were we? Oh yeah... Josh Sweat. Per the Rap Sheet on that social media platform that shall remain nameless, Josh has agreed to a restructured deal that will indeed keep him in the City of Brotherly Love.

Brandon Graham is back. Bryce Huff has joined the nest. Nolan Smith is waiting in the wings, and Haason Reddick is still in town, for now. We'll see how that last thing goes, but you understand what we mean. You see where this is headed.

The rumors? We can retire many of them. Philly isn't done with Sweaty yet. There seemingly isn't any worry about whether Vic Fangio can use the talented pass rusher in his system. Josh will again be part of the plan in 2024, and doggone it, that's absolutely the right decision.
