If you find yourself traveling to Cali, and you determine you might as well check out a game while you're there, make sure you stop by the new statue outside of Crypto.com Arena. Lifelong Philadelphia Eagles fan and former Lower Merion star Kobe Bryant has been immortalized along with his beautiful daughter Gigi Bryant.

This one's gorgeous. Thank the L.A. Lakers for the visual.

Wait! Did you notice something there?

Kobe Bryant rocks an Eagles knit cap in his and Gigi's new statue unveiled outside of Crypto.com Arena.

Something as detailed as this masterpiece requires a closer look. So, we shopped for a few closeups. Guess what we noticed.

Kobe is rocking an Eagles knit cap! Hey... You won't hear any complaints out of us.

Born in Philly on August 23rd, 1978, Kobe Bryant was the 13th overall selection of the Charlotte Hornets in 1996. They traded him to Los Angeles. We know... What in the heck were they thinking? The resume he constructed is the stuff of legend.

The five-time NBA champion was also a two-time NBA Finals MVP (2009, 2010). He was named NBA MVP in 2008. He was named an NBA All-Rookie Second Team nod in 1997. He's an 18-time NBA All-Star and a four-time NBA All-Star Game MVP.

He was named All-NBA First Team 11 times, All-NBA Second Team twice, and All-NBA Third Team twice. He's a nine-time NBA All-Defensive First Team nod, a three-time NBA All-Defensive Second Team nod, and a member of the NBA's 75th Anniversary Team.

All that's cool and everything, but here's why we fell in love with Kobe. He's a 'girl dad' and lifelong Eagles fan.

Bryant gave the 2017-2018 Eagles a pep talk before Super Bowl LII. Then, he celebrated like all of us when Tom Brady's final pass was knocked down to secure Philly's victory. The Eagles painted a mural carrying his likeness at the NovaCare Complex. CJ Gardner-Johnson, upon returning, decided he'd wear the Number 8 jersey.

We said all of that to say this. Though we never got to play '21' or any pick-up games with him, Kobe is one of us. We salute Karon Davis, the original designer, and the artists of Rotblatt Amrany Studio for making sure that detail was part of the finished product.
