Landon Dickerson, Jason Kelce leave Eagles joint practice versus Browns with injuries
Don't blink. Another game approaches this coming Thursday. The Philadelphia Eagles are enjoying joint practices with the Cleveland Browns at the Novacare Complex to prepare. As you might have already imagined, both teams have given us plenty to talk about.
DeVonta Smith versus Denzel Ward is must-see television. Too bad you won't get to see that on Thursday evening. The bulk of their work will come on Monday and Tuesday, but the battle has also ended prematurely. Ward entered the medical tent with an apparent injury. Hopefully. it isn't anything serious.
Here are a few other things of note. Sydney Brown got some work with the first-team defense. Myles Garrett had a pretty easy time with Jordan Mailata in spots and also visited the medical tent before heading indoors as did a member of the Eagles' offensive line.
Eagles Pro Bowl guard Landon Dickerson and all-world center Jason Kelce both leave Philly's joint practice versus the Browns with an injury.
Well, this is why we practice. The Eagles O-line had a tough time with the Cleveland Browns pass rush on Monday, but there's a lot to like about what we saw from Philadelphia... with the exception of two of the Eagles' best players along the offensive line being injured of course.
Second-year offensive lineman Josh Sills took some snaps at left guard in Landon Dickerson's absence as did Sua Opeta. Like Garrett, Philly's Pro Bowl starting left guard spent some time in the medical tent before heading indoors and calling it a day. Thankfully, he didn't show any signs of pain or leave on a medical cart.
Jason Kelce was injured shortly thereafter. He was slow to get up after an impressive throw by Jalen Hurts. He limped off and spoke with trainers but didn't seem to be any worse for wear. Kelce said he was okay following the session and Dickerson seemed to be okay as well.
