NFC East power rankings: This is the Eagles' division to win
Some have unofficially called this the NFL's 'Money Division'. Most refer to it by its actual name, the NFC East. Why call it the 'Money Division', you ask? It's simple. Its four members (the Philadelphia Eagles, Dallas Cowboys, New York Giants, and Washington Commanders) are among the most popular franchises in all of sports. They are also historically among the most profitable.
League offices also learned something about these teams a long, long time ago. It's often a good business decision to feature the divisional clashes featuring any two of these teams.
In good times and losing seasons, these four always put butts in the seats. They're good for drawing droves of viewers in front of a television. We expect this season will bring similar results. We also expect two teams to earn postseason berths
Ahead of the 2024-25 NFL season, we rank the Philadelphia Eagles versus their rivals in the NFC East.
The New York Giants were featured on HBO's Hard Knocks series ahead of training camp. The Washington Commanders have enjoyed a continual makeover. They have a new ownership group, coaching staff, and quarterback.
Make no mistake about it though. As has been the case for a few seasons, divisional superiority will come down to a two-team race, but based on everything Philly has done during the offseason, the NFC East's crown is certainly the Eagles' crown to win.

1. Philadelphia Eagles
This team added everyone from Saquon Barkley and Jahan Dotson on offense to Bryce Huff, Devin White, and C.J. Gardner-Johnson on the defensive side of the ball. They did so because they have Super Bowl aspirations.
Philly is one of those teams who can truly play their way to New Orleans in February (and win). First things first though. There's a 17-game regular-season schedule to conquer.
2. Dallas Cowboys
Okay, so the Dallas Cowboys finally paid CeeDee Lamb, but they haven't locked up his quarterback. Don't look now, but Dak Prescott has all of the negotiating power.
Expect Dak to say the right things off the field and try to play out of his mind while on it. Micah Parsons also needs a new deal. This team may not win postseason games, but they'll be a threat to anyone they cross paths with during the regular season.
3. Washington Commanders
Philly executed the rare in-division trade with the Washington Commanders and landed Jahan Dotson in the process, but it's concerning that Washington hasn't seemed to show any fear after making that type of move.
Have you looked at their 2024 NFL Draft class? It's impressive. QB Jayden Daniels, DT Jer'Zhan Newton, CB Mike Sainristill, and TE Ben Sinnott all have potential. The same can be said about OL Brandon Coleman, WR Luke McCaffrey, and DE Javontae Jean-Baptiste.
Former Falcons head coach and Cowboys DC Dan Quinn is the new head coach now. The recent free-agent class brought in some scary dudes like Frankie Luvu and Austin Ekeler, but there are also some uncertainties like Clelin Ferrell and Jeremy Chinn.
They also added some old guys who are still good but in the twilight of their careers How much does Bobby Wagner and Zach Ertz have left?
4. New York Giants
The G-Men handed Jones a four-year, $160 million contract extension on March 7, 2023. Since then, he sustained a neck injury and a torn ACL.
Then, there's the other thing. The best player New York fielded on offense plays for Philadelphia now.
Jones finished last season on the injured reserve after crafting a 1-5 record and throwing six interceptions versus only two TDs. Some wondered what New York was thinking when they inked him to the aforementioned extension. Here's what we can guarantee. They weren't looking for what they got last season.
Oh well... At least they drafted Malik Nabers, Tyler Nubin, and Andru Phillips. They also traded for Brian Burns. They'll be better, but we can't imagine they'll win more than seven games.
