Time flies when you're having fun, and sometimes, it does so when you aren't. It may seem like the 2023 NFL season has already been a long one if you're a Carolina Panthers, a New England Patriots, or a Denver Broncos fan, but the truth is it hasn't been longer than the campaign that Philadelphia Eagles fans are enjoying.

It feels like it was just yesterday when we were arguing about whether or not Eli Ricks should make the 53-man roster. Now, look! Six games of the regular season are in our rearview mirror.

13 weeks and 12 games remain for our beloved Birds. They host the Miami Dolphins this weekend on Sunday Night Football. Six teams. including one of their rivals are off.

NFL Week 7 byes

  • Carolina Panthers (0-6)
  • Cincinnati Bengals (3-3)
  • Dallas Cowboys (3-2)
  • Houston Texans (3-3)
  • New York Jets (3-3)
  • Tennessee Titans (2-4)

The Philadelphia Eagles won't enjoy a bye of their own until Week 10. Following Week 7's prime time affair, they travel to Landover, Maryland to visit the Washington Commanders. Then, they return to the friendly confines of Lincoln Financial Field to tackle the hated Dallas Cowboys.

That game will give one team or the other an early leg up in the NFC East. Dallas hosts the Los Angeles Rams in Week 8. That one kicks off at 1:00 p.m. EST.

Dallas is currently 4-2 following their Sunday Night Football win over the other team in L.A. (way to take care of business Chargers). The currently own the second spot in the NFC East.

The only thing that's keeping the 3-3 Rams out of the cellar in the NFC West is the 1-5 Arizona Cardinals. Believe it or not, the Cards' only victory has come versus Dallas.
