"The Giants are on Hard Knocks?" Don't tell Howie Roseman he isn't relaxed. The Philadelphia Eagles' GM and head coach, one Nick Sirianni, spent just under a half hour with the media ahead of Philly's first training camp practice.

Both were all smiles for the conversation with select media members. But as you may imagine, questions about HBO's programming took a backseat to more discussed topics in Eagles-related circles.

"How is your relationship with Jalen (Hurts), and how did last year impact it?"

Sirianni: You know... The only thing you can judge your relationships on is your personal interactions with people, not any report that comes out. Jalen and I's relationship is good. So, when you hear a report like that, you don't put much stock into it because, quite frankly, not everybody sees that.

So, I'm so excited for him and I to get into our fourth year together. We've done some really special things, and I'm excited for him.

He's worked so hard at his game. I'm excited for him to be able to get back out here today and have a good practice today."

There you have it, but as you know, in a football-crazy town like Philly, even a straightforward answer like this will be picked apart.

So, what else is going on at Eagles training camp?

Here are a few other highlights from the first Eagles training camp presser with Nick Sirianni and Howie Roseman.

A press conference that most thought would include head coach only offered an added bonus. Howie Roseman was available too. What follows is some of the highlights that came from picking the brains of two members of leadership.

Who's the third wide receiver?

We knew we wouldn't get a direct answer to this question. Do we ever? But hey... The question must be asked, right? We were offered the usual 'depth charts don't have to be put together right now' response, but if you're curious, Parris Campbell got the first crack at running as the WR3 with the first-team offense.

Howie's response? “That’s something we’re going to be watching daily."

Cross-training will continue for Mekho Becton and James Bradberry.

Mekhi Becton will continue to work at both guard and tackle. James Bradberry will still work at corner and safety. He lined up at safety with the second-team defense.

Landon Dickerson missed the first day of practice with a toe laceration, so Becton spent most of his time running with the first team early at left guard. Tyler Steen started with the first team at right guard.

Brett Toth also sat out (hamstring). Both are listed as day-to-day.

Everyone still believes in Nakobe Dean.

Don't give up on Nakobe Dean yet. He's at camp. He's healthy and in good shape, and Howie was certain to mention his contributions to one of the best defenses of all time.

He also mentioned that he was satisfied with the research that was done before drafting him and the belief they had in him (which made the decision easy).

Coach added that he's excited about the competition we will see at linebacker and that Nakobe asked him 'are we putting the pads on tomorrow?'.

Yep! We thought you might like reading that.

Here are a few other nuggets you may see as being interesting.
