It's no surprise which Eagles star is mentioned as a top Fantasy draft option

Well, this should come as no surprise...

Okay, we'll say what everyone else is thinking. Playing Fantasy football is like holding down another full-time job. It's gotten much too complicated to keep up with everything.

That's a huge reason why, even though we can truly state we appreciate the beauty of playing, we wouldn't dare claim to be an expert like some of these owners who play in the big-time leagues. Just give us a few Philadelphia Eagles, some guys that will stack points for us, a solid defense, and a kicker. We're good if that happens.

Speaking of the good guys...There are a few Birds we wouldn't mind stashing. We're thinking they're going to do work for us. One of the most obvious is one of the good guys.

Eagles star Saquon Barkley earns a mention as one of the top Fantasy RB2 options.

As you're drawing up your strategies for your coming Fantasy drafts, we'd like to recommend some required reading. Teddy Ricketson of DraftKings Network blessed us recently with his write-up on the top RB2 Fantasy options not named Christian McCaffrey.

Saquon Barkley made the cut, along with Jonathan Taylor, Bijan Robinson, Jahmyr Gibbs, and Derrick Henry. Here's some of what Ricketson mentions as his reasoning:

"Even playing for a bad New York team in 2023, Barkley finished with 962 yards and six touchdowns on the ground in 14 games. He picked up an additional 280 yards and four scores through the air from the Giants quarterback trio of Tyrod Taylor, Tommy DeVito, and Daniel Jones. Barkley ended 2023 with 202.7 fantasy points in half-PPR, coming in as the overall RB12...

Philadelphia had D’Andre Swift as its starting running back a year ago. He picked up 1,049 rushing yards with five touchdowns in 16 games and added 214 yards and another score through the air. Swift finished as the overall RB23 in half-PPR scoring. All of this is to say that Barkley’s involvement in the offense shouldn’t change much with his new team, giving him plenty of upside for the fantasy football season."

Yep. That settles it. Forget the RB2 thing. We're drafting Saquon for our RB1 option.

Since we're on the subject, here's a question we always wanted to ask. How many of you who play never add Dallas Cowboys or New York Giants players to your lineup? Cool! We were beginning to think that we were the only ones.
