You think preseason football doesn't matter? Try telling that to Philadelphia Eagles first-round pick Nolan Smith. The former Georgia Bulldogs superstar has been dreaming of the day that he'd be able to make his NFL debut.

Fortunately for him, that's coming against the Baltimore Ravens. Smith has been turning heads throughout training camp and now he's ready to deliver for head coach Nick Sirianni against an opposing offense.

Leading up to the showdown, Smith is focused on making sure plenty of people are talking about him following the final whistle. Seriously, if you're an Eagles fan, you've got to love what Smith had to say about this upcoming tilt:

Nolan Smith is something special... "It don't matter.. Preseason... Practice.. I'm giving it my all just because I remember that feeling in my heart that I got when I couldn't play another snap... via @EliotScorrParks on X...

Nolan Smith can't wait for his first taste of Eagles action on Saturday night

Selected with the No. 30 overall pick in the 2023 NFL Draft, Smith is joining a defensive front that also added stud Georgia defensive tackle Jalen Carter with the No. 9 selection. Teams in the NFC East can't be too happy about the best pass-rushing team somehow finding a way to get even better.

That's also going to be bad news for the Ravens on Saturday, as Smith is going to want to record a sack or two. Smith was known for being a force with the Bulldogs and Philly supporters are ready to see more of the same now that he's in The City of Brotherly Love.

Smith is already winning over people in Philly too and his confidence leading up to kickoff is downright awesome. Smith doesn't care if it's a preseason game, regular season meeting or even a practice: he's going to give it his all once the pads are on.

The Ravens won't be starting Lamar Jackson in this one, which is probably a smart decision. The Eagles as a whole will try and make life a nightmare for the Baltimore offensive line. It goes without saying, but countless eyes will be on Smith to see if he'll be able to back up his words. Something tells us he'll deliver for Sirianni.
