Another training camp approaches, and all eyes will be on some young stars the Eagles have invited to the festivities.

Another week is in the books. July 25th approaches, and when we arrive, the Philadelphia Eagles will begin their 91st NFL season by hosting another training camp. That means position battles and competition will dominate our discussions. As is the case every offseason, we can't wait to see what transpires.

The summer months bring the dilemma of piecing a 53-man roster together annually. There's no better time to begin the discussion than right now. Philly has a few holes to fill on the depth chart and several rookies whose development we'll be eyeing. This is their story. There's no better place to begin this discussion than at the game's most important position.

Quarterback - Tanner McKee

Something tells us Jalen Hurts will make the team. That's a pretty solid theory, isn't it? His backup is Marcus Mariota, a former Heisman Trophy winner (2014) whom this organization has followed for some time, but who's the third guy?

Last season, the Birds added Ian Book off waivers ahead of the season and carried him on the roster all year. During the most recent NFL Draft, they selected a traditional drop-back passer, Tanner Mckee. The latter two will battle for the QB3 role. It will be interesting to see them perform when the lights come on.
