Here are a handful of Eagles that might play their way into extensions.

You never know with these things because of one-year deals and Philly's well-known style of roster building. A couple of one-year rentals, however, might find new leases on life. We could also see the curtain calls of legends.

Here's an interesting nugget. One of our possible extensions plays a position the Eagles never place premiums on.

The fan favorites

1. D'Andre Swift, running back

Often viewed as a change of pace, D'Andre Swift has answered questions about durability and what he'd look like in a feature role. After a 1,000-yard rushing season, don't be shocked if he's back.

2. Braden Mann, punter

Braden Mann's leg is a lot more powerful than we were told it was. We also found out he can pass if he has to.

Every team needs a punter obviously. We have no reason to complain about his game. We'd prefer he not wear DeSean Jackson's number, but we'd love to see Mann back on this roster.

3. Olamide Zaccheaus, wide receiver

We've watched Olamide Zaccheaus come up with clutch catches and block his tail off downfield when he didn't have the ball. We've seen enough. We have fallen in love after the heartbreak that is Quez Watkins.

We have officially boarded the O.Z. bandwagon... or hype train... or both...

The Wild Cards

You can never have too many good offensive linemen. Every NFL franchise knows that. Welcome to Jack Driscoll and Sua Opeta's portion of the conversation.

4. Jack Driscoll, guard/tackle

Injuries halted his first two seasons. Inconsistency has also been a part of his tale. Here's where we stand with Landon Dickerson though. Good reserve linemen that play multiple positions are hard to come by.

We'd have minimal issue with seeing him return on a team-friendly deal.

5. Sua Opeta, guard

Sua Opeta isn't someone we want to see spell Jason Kelce. We learned that a while ago, but we like him enough to bring him back if the numbers were right.

We realize that some of you will disagree with that, and that's totally fine. You're welcome to your opinion. This is simply ours.

The possibly emotional conversation/addition

6. Julio Jones, wide receiver

We spend so much time preaching about recency bias. Then... Well... We fall victim to recency bias.

Maybe we're still buzzing because of his two-touchdown day in Week 17, but come on. How much fun is it going to be to toss around Julio Jones theories this week?

Bring on the drama! We're here for all of the smoke.
