Peyton and Eli lost their minds on the ManningCast after Saquon Barkley's drop

Here's some fair warning. Peyton and Eli's reaction to Saquon Barkley's drop may not make you feel any better.

Well, football wasn't fun this week. We were set up for what we thought would be a delicious homecoming. Instead, we're still scratching our heads and trying to make sense of what we witnessed from the Philadelphia Eagles to close Week 2 on Monday Night Football.

Philly placed a checkmark in the win column during their trip to Brazil. All they had to do was beat the Atlanta Falcons in Week 2.

It appears the Falcons had no intention of being their sacrificial lambs. Here we sit with every Birds fan in mourning.

Peyton and Eli Manning were just as sick as every Eagles fan after Saquon Barkley's third-down drop in the fourth quarter.

We were all ready to see our team make a statement, something to the effect that last year's collapse was buried and over. Instead, they offered us yet another collapse.

Atlanta was out of timeouts. 1:46 remained on the game clock, but the unthinkable happened.

Philly needed only three yards to pick up a game-ending first down. There isn't a single Eagles fan who doesn't know what came next.

Yep. That's the look. They look like us, but here's the worst part. The game wasn't lost there. This game still could have been won.

Sure, the clock stopped, and Jake Elliott's field goal only put Philly up by six points, but Philly's defense could close the show with a stop, right?

Well... Maybe not...

Again, there isn't an Eagles fan walking that doesn't know how this one ended, and frankly we don't want to talk about the ending. Here's your pep talk. It's a long season.

They'll need to move past this loss and do so swiftly. Put this one behind you guys. An upset loss can't give birth to a losing streak. The New Orleans Saints are the next step in the journey.
