4. Kyron Johnson, EDGE/LB

This position is absolutely loaded and crowded for the Eagles. Headlining the group is Haason Reddick, who has been one of the best pass rushers in football for a while now. Reddick led the team with 16.0 sacks last season, earning Pro Bowl honors.

Behind Reddick is this year's first-round pick Nolan Smith, yet another Georgia defender in Philadelphia. Smith comes in as an athletic, versatile pass rusher who is going to get plenty of time in his first year.

Then, there is 2021 seventh-round pick Patrick Johnson who came to Philly by way of Tulane. In two seasons with the Eagles, Johnson has been a backup, but has been active for every game. At the very least, you can say that health is his biggest ability to this point. He currently sits third on the depth chart at the position.

It's really because of the addition of Nolan Smith that Kyron Johnson is going to be left off this roster. The 2022 sixth-round pick played just 18 total defensive snaps last year, although he did play 63 percent of special teams snaps. He still doesn't offer the Eagles enough as a pass rusher, though, to earn a spot on the final 53-man roster.
