Well, it appears we'll have to get those flight plans together ladies and gentlemen. The Philadelphia Eagles are set to make history in 2024 as they'll become one of two teams in the first National Football League to play a game in South America.

Pro football has made it a priority to expand its reach beyond the borders of our great country. They've done so with the NFL International Player Pathway (IPP) program as well as games that have been played in the U.K., Germany, and Mexico City.

Philly will play as the home team. The game will be played in the city of São Paulo on a Friday night. Corinthians Arena is the venue and is home to the Brazilian soccer team, the Sport Club Corinthians.

Potential opponents include the Dallas Cowboys, Washington Commanders, New York Giants, Atlanta Falcons, Carolina Panthers, Cleveland Browns, Green Bay Packers, Jacksonville Jaguars, and Pittsburgh Steelers.

Corinthians Arena was also the official venue for the 2014 FIFA World Cup and the 2016 Summer Olympic Games. Once this one kicks off, five of the seven continents will have hosted an NFL game. That's pretty doggone cool, isn't it?
