Potential Eagles 2024 NFL Draft prospects worth watching during College Football Playoff
The College Football Playoff is loaded with future NFL stars. The Eagles are no doubt paying attention.
Maybe we're wrong here, but we have been thinking about this for a while. With the NCAA's Bowl Season underway and the NFL's 32 teams enjoying the homestretches of their respective regular seasons, December has, in many ways, felt like some football version of college basketball's March Madness. Our great game is everywhere. Frankly, we can't get enough of it. Guess what? The Philadelphia Eagles are in a race with the Dallas Cowboys for the NFC East's crown. January is going to be just as explosive. There's no doubt about it.
The first month of every calendar year also means we can watch another iteration of the College Football Playoff. This year, the Alabama Crimson Tide, Texas Longhorns, Washington Huskies, and Michigan Wolverines take center stage.
Washington Huskies quarterback Michael Penix Jr. is worth the price of admission. He'll be among the most sought-after QB prospects in the country come April's NFL Draft, but some other young men deserve a mention. We guarantee you the Eagles already know their names.
1. Rome Odunze, wide receiver, Washington
Well, if you're like us and you're a little bummed that Philly's chances of landing Marvin Harrison Jr. or Malik Nabers are nonexistent, there's some good news to report. Guys like Rome Odunze are available.
He's the third receiver on a lot of draft boards. We'd rank him slightly ahead of Devontez Walker (UNC Tar Heels), Brian Thomas Jr. (LSU Tigers), and Troy Franklin (Oregon Ducks).
Write his name down if you haven't already. Write the names down of the other guys on this list as well.
