Ranking the top five Eagles roster battles at training camp

Expect Eagles enthusiasts to fixate their attention on Philadelphia once NFL training camps get underway.

It's hot outside. The Philadelphia Eagles have canceled their mandatory minicamp for the second season in a row. That means we won't see the guys for a while. During times like this, we typically sit back, kick our feet up, and make a few educated guesses about what's to come. Sometimes we hit the bullseye, and we're right. Sometimes, we miss the target entirely. Regardless of the outcome, we dust ourselves off and throw on our thinking caps again.

Who's making this team? That's an annual discussion that transpires every summer. For the most part, we know what the top of the depth chart looks like, but there's some room at every position for a surprise or two.

The Birds report to training camp on July 25th. We'll know more about this team once we see their work. That won't stop us from making some way too early predictions about what we might see when the action begins though, will it? Of course, it won't.

We expect three tight ends to make the roster. Philly has some good ones, but the only one we're certain of is Dallas Goedert. Keep your eyes peeled, and make sure you're locked in for the following positional battles as well.
