Several of the undrafted free agents seemingly have no shot.

The Philadelphia Eagles have won with some of their UDFA pool from time to time. Guys like T.J. Edwards, Sua Opeta, Corey Clement, and Jack Stoll come to mind. Last year, three undrafted rookies made the roster: Reed Blankenship, Josh Jobe, and Josh Sills.

While some buzz surrounds guys like Eli Ricks and two young wide receivers, Jadon Haselwood and Joseph Ngata, there's no guarantee that any of those guys will make the roster. Some of the other young guys seemingly have too steep of a hill to climb.

  • Ben VanSumeren, linebacker
  • Brady Russell, tight end
  • Ty Zentner, punter

VanSumeren needs to leapfrog too many guys to make the roster. Philly also may carry Dallas Goedert, Dan Arnold, and Jack Stoll at tight end. If the math is correct, Brady Russell needs to beat out Grant Calcaterra, Tyree Jackson, and Dalton Keene to have a shot. That's probably a tough ask for the former Colorado standout.

Arryn Siposs' job isn't safe, but if he loses the punter job, it probably won't be to UDFA Ty Zentner. Training camp will tell us a lot, but it will be hard for an undrafted guy to make this squad.
