Splendid Jalen Hurts camp streak ended by the exact Eagles teammate you’d expect

305... Remember that number for as long as you live. Well... If you decide you have no interest in doing that, we understand, but you should at least think about it for a few more hours. Jalen Hurts has had an impressive Philadelphia Eagles camp. What he has accomplished during its duration has been even more impressive.

You have to credit 94 WIP-FM's Eagles insider Eliot Shorr-Parks for this one. Who in the heck knows how he keeps up with this stuff? We, on the other hand, may have lost some of our notes by the third or fourth practice session.

Anyway... The much-discussed Jalen Hurts streak, consecutive passes thrown during training camp without an interception, has ended. It took 16 sessions and, again, more than 300 pass attempts for us to see it, but Philly's defense finally came up with a pick.

As you may have expected, Darius Slay was the guy to get it done. Congratulations to all of you who were placing your wagers on him.

As you might have expected, the media noticed.

This one comes during a red zone drill. Parris Campbell was the intended receiver. There may be some controversy though. Should said interception have counted?

If you're interested, Darius Slay is having a big day. He also broke up a red zone pass attempt in the end zone that was intended for A.J. Brown.

Everyone should officially retire the 'Jalen Hurts can't throw' argument.

We've never had to do it, but we've talked to enough guys and we have covered enough guys who have. Playing sports in Philly can be a tough gig. The job is even tougher for guys in high-profile positions. The quarterback position certainly qualifies as one of those. Somehow, QB1 continues to do so seemingly stress-free.

Jalen has made a name for himself. He has been mentioned as part of the MVP discussion late into the 2022 AND 2023 NFL seasons. He has improved as a passer each season. Though some still make the argument, he isn't doing so simply because he is a dual-threat.

He is maturing as a passer. That might be the biggest takeaway from an impressive training camp run. The heat is there when he needs to thread one. He can also take some of the force out when he needs to display more touch.

Just check out this rainbow to A.J. Brown over Quinyon Mitchell. It might be his most impressive throw of camp. A.J. didn't have to slow down or speed up, and Mr. Hurts dropped this one right in the bucket.

So much for all of those theories that Jalen Can't throw huh? Welp! Now, that we have that behind us, let's hope he carries this same mastery of Kellen Moore's offense into the soming regular-season. He looks healthier than he has looked in a while. This version of QB1 could lead Philly to a lot of wins.
