The Eagles, Cowboys, and Commanders all aim to remain undefeated this weekend. The Giants hope to earn an upset win on Thursday Night Football.

All four clubs that represent the NFC East emerged victorious during Week 2. The New York Giants and Washington Commanders each earned comeback wins versus the Arizona Cardinals and Denver Broncos, respectively. The Dallas Cowboys defense set the tone in their victory versus the New York Jets. The Minnesota Vikings and Philadelphia Eagles engaged in a close, high-scoring affair that saw the Birds earn another win four days after their victory over the New England Patriots.

Philly earned an added benefit as well, 11 days of rest. They meet the Tampa Bay Buccaneers as part of two scheduled contests on Monday Night Football.

There's hope that running back Kenneth Gainwell and safety Reed Blankenship could return after missing the Vikings contests with rib injuries. Cornerback James Bradberry may also play if he clears concussion protocol.

Unfortunately, the Eagles' defensive backfield took another hit. Avonte Maddox was placed on season-ending injured reserve after suffering a torn pectoral muscle.

Mario Goodrich subbed in place of the injured Maddox versus the Vikings. Will the 2022 undrafted free agent start in the slot against the Buccaneers? Philly worked out six players including free-agent cornerback William Jackson III.

The secondary's depth has been tested early in the 2023 regular season. They have young players in their cornerback room: Goodrich, Josh Jobe, Eli Ricks, Kelee Ringo. They have talented young safeties: Justin Evans, Terrell Edmunds, and Sydney Brown.

Maintaining a relatively healthy roster moving forward will be vital for Philadelphia to have a chance at winning the NFC East and going on another deep playoff run. Who are the players from the rival Commanders, Cowboys, and Giants who could make impacts for their teams in Week 3? Here are a few ideas.
