Eagles versus Dolphins, Commanders versus Giants Week 7 previews

Week 7's affair at Lincoln Financial Field won't be a cakewalk for Miami either. The Dolphins' defense has a tough matchup against the Eagles offense. Miami struggled against a good Buffalo Bills squad in Week 4. Four of the Dolphins' five wins have come against below-average clubs.

Will they have difficulty on the road against the top team in the NFC East? On paper, this has the potential to be a candidate for game of the year with all of the offensive talent between the two franchises.

The Washington Commanders are preparing to play a division rival, the New York Giants, this week at MetLife Stadium. Washington would like to have another impressive performance from their young quarterback, Sam Howell. The second-year gunslinger threw three touchdowns during the Commanders' victory against the Atlanta Falcons in Week 6.

Despite Washington's poor offensive line, the 23-year-old Howell has had a decent season through six weeks. He has 1,500 passing yards, nine touchdowns and six interceptions.

Following his nightmare performance (170 yards passing, zero touchdowns, four interceptions) in Week 3 against the Bills, the former North Carolina Tar Heel has 829 passing yards, six touchdowns, and one interception over the previous three weeks. He has made some progress following his rough outing versus Buffalo.

It is unknown if Daniel Jones will return for the Giants this week. The Charlotte, North Carolina, native missed New York's loss to the Bills while dealing with a neck injury he suffered against the Dolphins.

If he is unavailable, backup Tyrod Taylor will again get the start under center versus the Commanders. The veteran quarterback nearly led his team to an upset victory on the road last week.

The Dallas Cowboys will have their bye during Week 7. Dallas is coming off of a close road victory against the Los Angeles Chargers on Monday Night Football.

CeeDee Lamb finished with seven catches for 117 yards. Micah Parsons earned the club's only sack while Stephon Gilmore intercepted a pass from Justin Herbert. The Cowboys will play the Los Angeles Rams at AT&T Stadium on October 29.

Here are a few statistical predictions for each contest.
