Stat predictions for a few Eagles rivals during the NFL's second week of action
By Matt Grazel
Daniel Jones, quarterback, New York Giants
Following a nightmare performance versus the Cowboys, the Giants offense has a chance to redeem itself on the road in their tussle with the Arizona Cardinals. Jonathan Gannon's squad allowed Washington Commanders quarterback Sam Howell to throw for 202 yards and run for 11 yards in their 20-16 loss. He threw two touchdown passes, one passing and one rushing. Howell also fumbled once and threw an interception.
Daniel Jones has demonstrated his running ability during his five-year career with the Giants. He racked up 43 yards on 13 carries against the Cowboys. He can be a decent player at his position when he doesn't turn the ball over. He threw the fewest amount of interceptions in his career last season (five), his first year playing under head coach Brian Daboll. Can Big Blue's 'offensive genius' help right the ship for his QB1?
To help New York avoid a 0-2 start in 2023, Jones needs to limit his turnovers. The Giants want to avoid falling into another hole early which will help them maintain a balanced attack.
New York has a short week after this one. They play the San Francisco 49ers in Santa Clara next Thursday (September 21). Their Week 2 tilt represents an opportunity for Jones and the offense to get on track.
Prediction for Jones - 232 passing yards, two touchdowns, 53 rush yards, one rushing touchdown, zero interceptions, one fumble lost
