Jonathan Allen, defensive tackle, Washington Commanders
The Commanders' defense has been ravaged by opposing offenses for most of the season. Jonathan Allen knows the Washington fanbase is growing increasingly frustrated with the defense's struggles.
The defensive tackle commented on what he believes the defense needs to do during his weekly radio appearance on The Sports Junkies on 106.7 The Fan WJFK-FM in Washington D.C.:
"I think we should get back to the basics as far as players taking accountability. Let's look at the film and see what we can improve, and let's get back to doing the little things right."
Allen is one of the club's leaders and he is significant in turning around the Commanders' bad play on the defensive side. He has eight solo tackles and three sacks through five games. The defensive line has the capability of being an effective unit with him, Chase Young, Montez Sweat, and Daron Payne.
If the team is going to break their losing streak, the seventh-year player and the rest of the defensive unit need to do their part in limiting the Falcons' offense.
Prediction for Allen - two solo tackles, one sack
