Stat predictions for Eagles star Jordan Davis, three NFC East rival receivers during NFL's fourth week of action
- The Eagles play their first game against a divisional foe this weekend.
- Their other adversaries are looking to keep pace with wins of their own.
- Here are a few predictions for one player on each rival's squad.
By Matt Grazel
Terry McLaurin, wide receiver, Washington Commanders
Commanders' wide receiver Terry McLaurin is their best offensive star. He finished with six catches for 102 yards in Philadelphia's victory over Washington on September 25, 2022. During the second contest between the division rivals on November 14, 2022, he tallied eight catches for 128 yards on 11 targets in the upset win for the Eagles' adversary.
In three games this year, the wideout has yet to exceed 100 yards receiving in any Commanders effort. His best showing was a 54-yard effort versus the Denver Broncos in Week 2. Washington is home to a subpar offensive line. Quarterback Sam Howell is only making his fifth career start this Sunday. Something has got to give.
No one doubts Terry McLaurin's talent though. He is truly a bad, bad man!
Washington's top wideout has an opportunity to take advantage of Philadelphia's secondary this week as he has done so many times before. Ahead of Week 4, the Eagles ranked 26th versus the pass with 785 pass yards allowed. They rank 31st with eight touchdowns surrendered.
If the Commanders are to hand the Eagles their first loss of the season, McLaurin needs to be involved in Washington's offensive attack. Look for Howell to throw to the fifth-year receiver often this weekend.
Prediction for McLaurin - 9 targets, 7 catches, 114 yards, one touchdown
