By Matt Grazel
Darius Slayton, wide receiver, New York Giants
The Giants offense has struggled in all but two of the twelve quarters the organization has played this year entering Week 4. With their top playmaker running back Saquon Barkley missing their Week 3 loss to the 49ers due to a high-ankle sprain, New York needs a boost from their other offensive players, and fast.
It is unknown if Barkley will return for the Giants' upcoming contest against the Seattle Seahawks on Monday night. Nevertheless, quarterback Daniel Jones and New York's receivers have a good matchup as the Seahawks rank 31st in passing yards allowed with 984 big ones being hung on them through the first three weeks of action.
Slayton has led the Giants in receiving yards during three of the last four NFL seasons. He trails tight end Darren Waller by 23 yards for the club lead in that category.
The fifth-year receiver has arguably been Jones' favorite target since the duo both debuted for New York in 2019. Big Blue needs a victory in Week 4. Slayton has a good matchup to take advantage of. Considering the urgency for New York to win, it would help them if the receiver has his best game of the season thus far.
Prediction for Slayton - 6 targets, 4 catches, 93 yards, one touchdown
