Sam Howell, quarterback, Washington Commanders

Commanders gunslinger Sam Howell has an opportunity to secure a much-needed win on Thursday Night Football against the Chicago Bears. Washington has lost two consecutive games including one in overtime to the Eagles.

Following a disastrous performance in Week 3 versus the Buffalo Bills, Howell turned in a solid performance without any turnovers versus Philly. Birds star cornerback Darius Slay complimented the Commanders starting quarterback following the game. Thank Nicki Jhabvala of The Washington Post for the quote:

"He was great, man. ... They got a good future with him, man. He gotta keep working, but great game by him, for sure, by extending plays. ... He made a lot of big plays."

The Bears' defense ranks last in the league with two sacks. If the Commanders' pedestrian offensive line can provide protection for their quarterback, Howell has an opportunity for his finest game yet in the NFL.

Look for him to target Jahan Dotson, Logan Thomas, Curtis Samuel, and Terry McLaurin early and often against a struggling Chicago defensive unit.

Prediction for Howell - 289 pass yards, two passing touchdowns, 36 rushing yards, one rushing touchdown, one interception, zero fumbles lost
