Nakobe Dean, Linebacker

There has always been an air of mystery surrounding Nakobe Dean. Despite being a projected first-round pick, he dropped to the third. It seemed he could be a draft-day steal for the Eagles, but Philly didn't use him much during the most recent NFL campaign.

The former Georgia Bulldog appeared in all 17 games in 2022, mostly on special teams. He recorded 13 tackles. He was rarely used on defense but will have a much more significant role this season.
That's to be expected after the Eagles lost both T.J. Edwards and Kyzir White to free agency.

In limited action last year, Dean was solid. Now, he'll wear the green dot in Sean Desai's defense. Hopefully, Philly's new defensive coordinator can pull the best out of him as he continues to learn the intricacies of being the Eagles' quarterback on defense as a starter.
