Top defenses for NFL Fantasy football owners to stream in Week 9

Football fans may be surprised to hear the Minnesota Vikings currently rank as the eighth-highest scoring Fantasy defense in the NFL. After all, they finished as the 10th-lowest Fantasy defense in 2022. The offseason hiring of Brian Flores has made a massive impact through eight weeks of action.

Minnesota has racked up five interceptions, two fumble recoveries and 10 sacks in the last three weeks alone. It has two defensive touchdowns on the year, too. Those are the kind of plays that provide a safe Fantasy floor, especially with a matchup against the Atlanta Falcons on tap in Week 9.

The Falcons have allowed 26 sacks on the year, which is tied for the fourth-highest mark in the NFL. It doesn't matter if Desmond Ridder or Taylor Heinicke draws the start at quarterback if the offensive line can't keep him upright. Look for All-Pro talent Danielle Hunter to make his presence felt in Atlanta.
