The defensive linemen and linebackers 'showed up and showed out' in Indianapolis, didn't they? Several hours of in-person viewing and/or rewatching the defensive linemen and linebackers' on-field NFL Combine workouts on NFL Plus have sparked both imagination AND theory. Let's make long stories short. If the Philadelphia Eagles are looking for an edge rusher and/or linebacker in the coming selection meeting, trust and believe that they will have options.

Philly has been busy. They're meeting with future NFL stars, one is the son of an NFL legend. The 40-yard dash, as always, grabbed our attention once the on-field workouts began. Watching these young prospects run through drills excites us, even if we feel some of these drills show us nothing about how well these guys will perform on game days.

Buckle up. With a day of workouts in the books, we grade the 2024 NFL Draft prospects at edge rusher.

This list will change, but with a round of NFL Combine workouts in the books, we rank the Eagles top options at edge rusher.

Here' s our list. Let's see if yours looks like ours.

  1. Dallas Turner, Alabama
  2. Laiatu Latu, UCLA
  3. Jared Verse, Florida State
  4. Chop Robinson, Penn State
  5. Chris Braswell, Alabama
  6. Adisa Isaac, Penn State
  7. Jonah Elliss, Utah
  8. Nathaniel Watson, Mississippi State
  9. Bralen Trice, Washington
  10. Marshawn Kneeland, Western Michigan
  11. Xavier Thomas, Clemson (honorable mention)

Defensive backs and tight ends take the field for their workouts on Friday, March 1st at 3 pm EST. Quarterbacks, wide receivers, and running backs do work on Saturday, March 2nd at 1 pm EST, and the offensive linemen take the field on Sunday, March 3rd at 1 pm EST.

Expect the best in the biz, Eagles offensive line coach Jeff Stoutland to take be on the field to give the big guys some direction at some point on Sunday. Day one of the NFL Combine didn't disappoint. Again, the Eagles WILL have options if they look to satisfy their need for an edge rusher in the NFL Draft.
