Quinyon Mitchell's list of victims reads like a who's who of NFL superstars
Here's a confession. We love nicknames, but we can all agree that some are corny, right? Black Mamba, Skinny and Swole Batman, and Weapon X... Yeah, those are cool. 'America's Team' and 'Rodger the Dodger'... Yeah... Miss us with that. But, the town the Philadelphia Eagles play in... The City of Brotherly Love... Now, that's a classic. We'd have to say that we approve
What's the point you ask? One of the Eagles' rookies, Quinyon Mitchell might be working on his alter-ego. Lately, we've been hearing 'Quinyonamo Bay' floating around, and you know what? We kind of like that, and it fits!
Like 'Revis Island' years before him, Q's bad enough to back the name. Opposing receivers are on an island when matched against him. Just ask Terry McLaurin about how good this Eagles rookie has been.

Quinyon Mitchell is kicking tail and taking the names of every NFL wide receiver who has been unfortunate enough to line up across from him.
You read the title of the story. You all know why you are here. Year one of the Quinyon Mitchell experience with the Philadelphia Eagles has delivered just about everything we could have asked for.
Per Pro Football Focus, Mitchell has played 257 run defense snaps and another 467 in coverage. He has allowed 28 receptions and earned a 76.3 coverage grade.
Based on the numbers, it seems that the grade should be higher, right? PFF also gives him run defense and overall grades of 62.0 and 74.6 respectively.
Check out some of the victims and their output when lined up against him.
- Zay Flowers (Baltimore Ravens): 0 yards
- Cooper Kupp (L.A. Rams): 5 yards
- Puka Nacua (Rams): 14 yards
- Terry McLaurin (Washington Commanders): 0 yards

Here's the best part. He hasn't allowed a receiving touchdown. That's a bad man folks!
