A Rams fan favorite rocks an Eagles jersey before his team clashes with Philly

Okay, you have to admit this is funny.

Sometimes, we wonder whether or not Saquon Barkley spent a ton of time studying Todd Gurley. We know he watched him. Have you heard Saquon talk about football? The Philadelphia Eagles star is a student and fan of the game, particularly when conversations about the running back position are involved.

Strangely, we never thought we'd mention Barkley and Gurley while telling an Eagles story. Then, Saquon joined the Birds and Todd posted something intriguing on his Facebook page.

Gurley made his name with the L.A. Rams as one of the best running backs of the back half of the 2010s. A member of the Pro Football Writers Association's All-Rookie Team (2015), he's a former NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year and NFL Offensive Player of the Year (2017).

He also earned two First-Team All-Pro nods (2017, 2018), a Second-Team All-Pro mention (2015), and a spot on three Pro Bowl rosters (2015, 2017, 2018). Surely, he's pulling for the Rams, right? You're going to love what we saw on his Facebook page.

The Eagles vs. Rams game approaches. Everyone has their opinion about what to expect. No one expected to see Todd Gurley in Midnight Green. That we can assure you.

You heard him... An Eagles jersey is "the type of fit that only winners wear". Now, he technically didn't say he was pulling for Philly, but let's say he is. Maybe the large number of former Bulldogs on the Birds roster is what brought him on board.

We won't knock him. Rams fans may not like this, but we approve. We think it's kind of cool. We've never had an issue with Todd Gurley. Truthfully, we fell in love with him when he ran all over the Dallas Cowboys in that playoff game.
