Training camp is around the corner, and the Philadelphia Eagles, as an organization, are facing more pressure than ever before.

There are a lot of guys with jobs on the line past the 2026 season, including head coach Nick Sirianni, offensive coordinator Sean Mannion, and quarterback Jalen Hurts. Fair or unfair, they are under the microscope of the NFL media and taking the biggest hits on the team.

On the roster, Hurts isn't the only one who has pressure on him to play well going into training camp. Add four players from the roster with him, and Eagles fans have five total who are really feeling the heat in 2026.

Ranking the top 5 Eagles players with the most pressure entering training camp

5. Jonathan Greenard, EDGE

The Eagles are putting a lot of faith in a guy who just had three sacks last year and fought through injuries with the Minnesota Vikings. Eagles general manager Howie Roseman gave up two third-round picks in the draft to acquire Greenard as the replacement for Jaelan Phillips, while also giving him a contract extension. Philly was great at pressuring the quarterback once Phillips made it to the Eagles midway through last year, so Greenard has big shoes to fill there, but he must also bring the sack numbers the team has not had over the last two years.

4. Dontayvion Wicks, WR

Wicks was traded to the Eagles this offseason in hopes of becoming DeVonta Smith's new WR2, with A.J. Brown traded shortly after. There is also a bit of pressure on Wicks, as there was a lot made about him being a good fit for new Eagles offensive coordinator Sean Mannion's scheme since the two were with the Green Bay Packers together the last two years, plus Wicks not getting enough playing time in Green Bay with a crowded wide receiver room. Philly gave him a one-year contract extension, so he has two years to prove his worth, and it could be argued that he's got the 2026 season to get it done.

3. Jalen Carter, DT

The final question of the offseason is whether Carter will get a contract extension, will have to wait until next offseason, or will be traded. Many are pointing to him getting the extension before the 2026 season begins, but he still faces pressure after character questions and injury concerns have surfaced. There's no doubt he can be a great NFL player, but he's got a lot to prove to not only the Eagles, but the rest of the league.

2. Makai Lemon, WR

Lemon is a rookie, so there shouldn't be this much pressure on him, but the Brown's departure does not help, as he is seen as one of his replacements. The rookie might play in the slot compared to Brown being on the outside, but that doesn't mean the Eagles fan base isn't expecting results from the first-round pick right away. Eagles fans have had bad experiences with first-round wide receivers like Jalen Reagor, but hope Lemon will be more like Smith.

1. Jalen Hurts, QB

It feels like a laydown of a number one (even though it really shouldn't be), but Hurts has a lot of pressure on him. He has to prove that he's an elite quarterback while learning a new offense for the seventh straight year with Mannion running the show. It's unfair for Hurts to have to deal with this, especially with the resume he has put together, but if he doesn't play well in 2026, his future is up in the air next offseason.
