At the time of this story's release, it hasn't even been 72 hours since the Philadelphia Eagles were crowned Super Bowl Champions. Yes, we're still celebrating! You better believe it!

You know what they say. In order, for one thing to begin, another must end. The bad news is the 2024-25 NFL season is over, and we won't get to see our Birds play ball for a while. But, they left us with a nice parting gift. There's another Lombardi Trophy to place on the shelf.

Serious question... Is it too early to plan ahead for Super Bowl LX? There's reason for Philly's fans to be excited.

On Tuesday, DraftKings Sportsbook released their opening odds for the 2026 Super Bowl. The Eagles are the favorites. Their odds are +600. They are followed by the Kansas City Chiefs (+700), Baltimore Ravens (+700), Buffalo Bills (+700), and Detroit Lions (+900).

Wait! Could Philly be flirting with building a dynasty?

The Eagles are loaded with talent and should be set up to compete for championships for years to come.

Let's flashback to a few years ago. Who remembers when Eagles fans hated Howie Roseman fired? Memes of Philly's GM with a clown nose were easily accessible. Remember that? Fast forward to this season, and he's a legend.

Roseman has undoubtedly created one of the NFL's best rosters, one of the best the Eagles have seen in a long time. The best part is this. He's built a young team, and they're set up to win for a while.

Philly's veteran core players are locked in for at least one more season. Veteran Lane Johnson has said he'll play at least one more season, but he and superstar Saquon Barkley are signed through 2026.

Jalen Hurts, DeVonta Smith, Jordan Mailata, and Landon Dickerson are all signed until at least 2028. Don't forget about Mr. 1K himself, A.J. Brown. He's signed until 2029.

Lane Johnson and Darius Slay will be the oldest guys on the players' roster once Brandon Graham retires, They're both 34 years old. We'll see if Slay sticks around. He wants to play one more season. We don't know if that season will be played in Philly.

Stay tuned in that regard, but the remainder of these players are indispensable players 30 years old or younger.

The younger portion of the team's nucleus consists of Nolan Smith, Jordan Davis, Jalen Carter, and Reed Blankenship. They were joined by Cooper DeJean and Quinyon Mitchell this season.

The result? They built the No. 1 defense in the league and put the cherry on top of a phenomenal campaign with a dominating win over the Kansas City Chiefs in New Orleans this past weekend.

Now, that the season is over, decisions must be made about 18 impending free agents. As mentioned, Brandon Graham is expected to retire, and a few free agents may prove too expensive to retain, Josh Sweat for instance. If we've learned anything, however, it's to trust Howie Roseman.

He'll do his part to make sure this team stays competitive.

With three Super Bowl appearances in the last eight years (and two Super Bowl wins), the Eagles have treated us to one of the best eras of football in this team's history. Will this birth a dynasty? It's too early to tell, but one thing is certain.

Philly will be part of the championship chase for a while, and for a league that prides itself on parity, that's all any fan and media outlet can ask for!
