Philadelphia Eagles superstar wide receiver A.J. Brown has hardly seen any production through two weeks of the 2025 NFL season. His quiet performances have fans and fantasy football managers panicking, but the veteran has stayed calm about the situation.

After all, the Eagles have started the year 2-0, even with the lack of passing volume.

Things could be set to change in a big way this weekend as Philadelphia takes on the Los Angeles Rams. While the Rams focus on shutting down the run, Brown could reassert himself as one of the league's top wideouts with a truly dominant performance. If he's at his best, this game could quickly turn into a blowout win for the birds.

A.J. Brown could lead Eagles to huge win over Rams

The Eagles and Rams played twice last season, and both games were defined by massive Saquon Barkley performances. The Offensive Player of the Year put up over 500 total yards across the two matchups, carrying Philadelphia to two key wins.

After getting embarrassed like that in 2024, the Rams are surely going to be focused on stopping the run in Week 3. Defensive coordinator Chris Shula will do what he can to make sure Barkley doesn't take this game over.

That should mean more defenders in the box, and acres of space for Brown to work with on the outside. The superstar receiver has just 35 receiving yards this season and hasn't had a catch for more than eight yards. The Eagles have been able to win without throwing the ball down the field, but they'll have to look to their top wideout if L.A. shuts down the run.

If the Eagles' receiver is given one-on-one matchups with the Rams' cornerbacks, he should be able to feast. While L.A. has a strong defensive front, its secondary is one of the weakest in the league. They're currently starting Emmanuel Forbes Jr. and Cobie Durant at cornerback. Both players weigh less than 185 pounds, while Brown is 225 pounds of pure muscle. In contested catch situations, the Rams won't stand a chance.

The Rams aren't fit to match up with the veteran receiver on the outside. They can disguise their coverages to avoid obvious one-on-one situations, but Brown will eventually be allowed to take over.

If the star receiver can take advantage of his matchups on the outside, the Eagles could be set to dominate on Sunday.
