This Eagles stat may have fans cringing at the offensive play calling even more

All the focus this season has been on the Philadelphia Eagles' offense and how it is struggling.

Eagles offensive coordinator Kevin Patullo has been taking the blame for the issues stemming from his play-calling. From running the ball to passing game struggles, this offense has not been able to get going, as it sits in the bottom 10 in nearly every category.

John Clark of NBC Philadelphia came to a stunning conclusion that may have the Eagles' offense down to a simple winning formula.

"The Eagles are 2-4 this season when they have a player with 100+ receiving yards. The Eagles are 6-0 when they don’t have a player get 100 receiving yards in a game," Clark said in a post on X.

Just another piece of evidence that Patullo is struggling in Philly

The metric comes at a time when the Eagles, specifically their offense, continue to face constant criticism for their lack of consistency and, at times, ineptitude. The metric gets even more attention because during the Eagles' recent loss, A.J. Brown recorded 10 receptions for 132 yards and two touchdowns, while Eagles running back Saquon Barkley finished with 56 rushing yards on 13 carries.

The stat seems to be a microcosm of the Eagles' season, with receivers extremely disgruntled over their lack of involvement in the game plan. It also raises questions about whether the Eagles players care about the "main thing" or are only focused on individual accolades.

Fresh off a Super Bowl victory, players can often begin seeking other avenues of success, seeking to boost their status/income rather than maintaining the importance of the team's overall mission. In 2025, it appears the Eagles are a team in disarray despite their 8-4 record, with more individuals than a cohesive unit working towards a common goal.

To "right the ship," the Eagles will have to lean on the rushing attack, hoping to control the clock and finish the season strong. The Eagles will have to lean on Barkley and Tank Bigsby during the final stretch of the season, because obviously, force-feeding Brown and DeVonta Smith hasn't been the formula for success in Philadelphia.
