One of the defining moments of the Philadelphia Eagles' 24-20 win over the Dallas Cowboys on Thursday night was a play made by the former All-Pro Zack Baun that saved Philly from impending doom.

The play occurred with 6:21 to go in the third quarter as the Eagles had a 24-20 lead on the Cowboys. Eagles fans' hearts dropped when their former starting running back, Miles Sanders, busted out a 49-yard run. Baun came to rescue with a touchdown-saving tackle at the Eagles' 11-yard line.

How big was that tackle? It led to a Sanders fumble created by Jihaad Campbell and Byron Young and recovered by Quinyon Mitchell. The Eagles prevented any points in the game thanks to the "Bald Eagle" himself, Baun.

The result of that drive wasn't even the most impressive part of the Baun play. Oh no, one stat will make it a defining moment in the young season.

Baun proves to have blazing speed not many linebackers have in the NFL

NFL Next Gen Stats kept tabs on the speed of Sanders and Baun on the play. Sanders was going at a blazing speed of 19.29 miles per hour. That's pretty good.

Baun was faster.

Clocking in at 20.68 miles per hour, Baun was able to make the play needed to tackle Sanders and stop him from scoring. That timed miles per hour was the fastest Baun has ever gone on the field.

That tackle was one of a team-high nine total tackles with six solo tackles. Baun also added one tackle for loss and one pass deflection in the win.

The Eagles saw Baun do everything for them, just as he did last year when he was selected to the Pro Bowl and All-Pro team. He was just as impressive in pass coverage as he was stopping the run.

Watching Baun make that tackle was poetry in motion. Eagles fans want to see more of that from one of the game's best linebackers.
