This has been an interesting season. Heck, it's been a long one for every franchise. That includes the lowly Carolina Panthers. Once upon a time, whenever things didn't go as the Philadelphia Eagles wanted, we had at least one feather in our cap. At least we aren't Panthers fans!

But, hold up! Wait a minute!

Charlotte, North Carolina is home to one of the NFL's maniacal owners. You remember David Tepper, don't you? A restaurant employing an Eagles fan made him so angry once, and the billionaire decided to pay the establishment a visit.

Tepper is what you would call more of a thermometer than a thermostat. He hires at fires head coaches with the same frequency that one might change their undergarments. Maybe he'll settle down one day, but until he is, he makes us even more thankful for Jeffrey Lurie!

Today's Eagles vs. Panthers Game Details

The Eagles and Panthers have a strange history. They have met in an NFC Championship Game. The first ever played at Lincoln Financial Field. The road to the Super Bowl ran through Philly and the Panthers drove right through that road to the big game.

We've also seen miraculous comebacks by Carolina at the Linc that were led by Cam Newton. Philly leads the all-time series by an 8-5 margin. That includes a road win by the Birds in 2017 that taught us the Eagles were a legitimate Super Bowl contender.
