Feeley Likely To Start Again

AUTHOR: Zach | IN: Breaking News, Eagles | COMMENTS: None Yet

Donovan McNabb was listed as doubtful again this week. He has not practiced at all, and all signs point to A.J. starting again this week. Feeleydelphia probably can’t contain their excitement.
Feeley needs to produce a similar performance from last week, minus the turnovers. This won’t be an easy task, because Seattle is solid defensively. If the protection can hold up, I think he will be fine.
The last time these two teams met up, it was not very pretty. It was snowing heavily on Reggie White day, and Mike McMahon filled in for an injured Donovan McNabb. The Eagles got blown [...]

Alexander Is Back

AUTHOR: Zach | IN: NFL, News | COMMENTS: None Yet

Shaun Alexander practiced for the second consecutive day for the Seahawks on Thursday. That makes it more likely he will play Sunday at Philadelphia for the first time since he sprained his knee 3 1/2 weeks ago.
The 2005 league MVP split time as the lead running back during drills with Maurice Morris. Alexander’s six-year backup fully participated in practice Thursday on his sore ankle after being limited a day earlier.

Feeleydelphia

AUTHOR: Zach | IN: Eagles | COMMENTS: None Yet

Philadelphia has gone crazy over A.J. Feeley. A general feeling I get from other Iggles fans, is that they are done with McNabb, and want Feeley to remain as the starter. Now most people realize that A.J. Feeley is not the next Tom Brady, but that is not what this is about. The city of Philadelphia hates Donovan McNabb.
During the 2004 season Donovan could have probably run for mayor, and won. The Eagles had a tremendous year, and so did McNabb. They went on to finally get over that NFC Championship game hump, but failed to win Super Bowl 39. [...]

Fantasy Picks: Week 13

AUTHOR: Zach | IN: Fantasy, NFL | COMMENTS: None Yet

QB Jon Kitna- Kitna promised the Lions would win ten games, and their schedule is rough the rest of the way. This week he faces the leagues worst passing defense in the Minnesota Vikings. The Lions offense run by Mike Martz is pass, pass, and pass again. With those great receivers, expect Kitna to have a huge game.
RB Steven Jackson- Jackson has been a major bust this season for fantasy owners, because of his injuries. Now he is healthy, and looking to help his team  win some games. Going up against a poor Atlanta team, the Rams should have a [...]

Poised To Make A Run

AUTHOR: Zach | IN: Eagles | COMMENTS: None Yet

The recent loss to the New England Patriots was disappointing. However it did leave me with a great sense of confidence for the remainder of the season. If the Eagles can play this well against the NFL’s best team, then why can’t they win the five remaining games?
Now you might say that I am being a blind homer here, but really think about it. The five games left are against the Seahawks, Giants, Cowboys, Saints, and Bills. The only game on there that looks very tough is the Cowboys game.
The Seahawks have been struggling somewhat themselves, the Giants just got [...]

Eagles To Sign Shotwell

AUTHOR: Zach | IN: Breaking News, Eagles | COMMENTS: None Yet

Kyle Shotwell will see a familiar face when he steps into the Philadelphia Eagles locker room for the first time this morning.
He will be reunited with former Cal Poly teammate linebacker Chris Gocong after signing an undisclosed free-agent contract today with the Eagles, which places him on the practice squad.
“Chris is one of my closest pals and he will help make the adjustment easier,” Shotwell said.
The two Buck Buchanan Award winners as the top defensive player in Division I-AA (now Football Championship Subdivision) played together at Cal Poly from 2003-05 before Gocong was drafted by the Eagles in the third [...]

Sean Taylor Dies From Gun Wound

AUTHOR: Zach | IN: NFL, News | COMMENTS: None Yet

Washington Redskins safety Sean Taylor has died, a day after he was shot at home. He was 24.
Family friend Richard Sharpstein said Taylor’s father told him the news around 5:30 a.m.

What an unbelievable tragedy.
Violence in this country is out of control, and something needs to be done about it. Taylor had such a promising football career ahead of him, and he died way too soon. When they catch the punks who did this, they should get the chair.
Here I was upset about the Eagles losing a football game, and then I hear news like this. Life is [...]

Price For McNabb Is 3 First Round Picks

AUTHOR: Zach | IN: Eagles, NFL, News | COMMENTS: None Yet

Adam Schefter of NFL.com, is reporting that a team inquired about possibly trading for Donovan McNabb. The Eagles asking price was three first round picks.
Now when Randy Moss goes for a 4th round pick, you may think that 3 first round picks is steep. Well it is not to the Eagles. The Eagles value McNabb a great deal, even though they drafted Kevin Kolb in the 2nd round of this past years draft.
This shows the strong commitment that the Birds have with Donovan McNabb. They will be sticking with him, and are not interested in moving him.
The only way a [...]

No Controversy, McNabb is the Starter

AUTHOR: Zach | IN: Eagles, Rumors | COMMENTS: None Yet

Despite the solid play of QB A.J. Sunday night against New England, Donovan McNabb is still Andy Reid’s guy. When asked about whether McNabb would remain the starting QB, Andy Reid answered with a simple ‘yes’.Reid is right about this. When Donovan McNabb is healthy, he will and should return to being the starting QB.
Feeley has been solid in relief, but that is what he is, a good backup. Feeley had crucial mistakes against the Patriots. He fought hard, but in the end he cost the Eagles the game.
People have such short memories of Donovan McNabb. In 2006 McNabb was [...]

Redskins’ Taylor In Critical Condition

AUTHOR: Zach | IN: NFL, News | COMMENTS: None Yet

Sean Taylor, a safety with the Washington Redskins, was unconscious and fighting for his life today after being shot by an intruder at his home south of Miami, the authorities and one of his lawyers said.

All Eagles fans remember when this happened to Jerome McDougle back in the 2005 off season. This is terrible news, and I am praying for Taylor and his family.
