In honor of the Phillies playing in the World Series tonight, I have decided to look back at the last Philadelphia team to get in a Championship game. This video is the Story of the 2004 NFC Champions. The Eagles did end up losing the Super Bowl, but it was such a great season.
I think the Phillies will be the first team to break the Championship dought, and Philadelphia will parade down Broad Street.
GO PHILLIES!

Phlashback: 2004 NFC Champions
Eagles Sign Kyle Eckel
The Eagles have announced they have signed full back Kyle Eckel today. Eckel was an undrafted rookie free agent signing by the New England Patriots in 2005, and spent most of his time on the practice squad. He also spent a season with the Miami Dolphins, after leaving the military.
The Eagles have been shuffling full backs around like musical chairs this year, and have been reduced to playing DT Dan Klecko at FB.
Eckel is more of your traditional full back, who is widely considered a very good blocker. The Haverford, PA native stands 5′11″ tall, and roughly weighs about 245 [...]
Tony Romo Wusses Out
Even after being called out by Brett Favre, Tony Romo was too much of a puss to play today. As a result washed up back up QB Brad Johnson threw 3 interceptions, and the St. Louis Rams beat the bricks out of the Dallas Cowboys 34-14. Romo should have listened to his child hood idol.
When you are the QB for a team with high hopes in a tough division like the NFC East, you can not sit out of the game because you hurt your little pinkie finger. A real QB mans up, and plays. We are talking about a pinkie [...]

National League Champions!
THE PHILLIES ARE GOING TO THE WORLD SERIES!
Phillies Ace Cole Hamels carried the team on his back through seven innings. Then Ryan Madson got through the 8th, and Brad Lidge shut down the Dodgers in the 9th. What a great game, and what a fantastic job by the Phillies to beat the Dodgers 4 games to 1.
NOW IT’S TIME TO BRING PHILADELPHIA A CHAMPIONSHIP!

Tony Hunt Cut
The Eagles third round pick from the 2007 draft has been released. Tony Hunt, the pride of Penn State, but his lack of athletic ability really makes me wonder why he was drafted so high.
I had serious doubts about Hunt as rookie in the preseason. I remember seeing him break off a 13 yard run, and thought he looked terrible doing it. Great blocking supplied a huge hole for Hunt to run through, and with the wide open field in front of him, he looked like he was running in slow motion. I knew right then that drafting Hunt was [...]
Eagles Come Up Big In The Clutch
The Eagles left San Fransisco victorious, in what was a very big game against the 49ers. After digging themselves into a small hole, The Eagles needed a win to stay in the NFC East race. Down 9 points in the 4th quarter, the team suddenly felt the urgency of the situation, and rose up to the occasion. They were able to score 23 points in the final quarter, for a nice win before the bye week.
McNabb Is On His Game: Donovan has been playing really well this year, and he looks very different than he did last year. His arm is [...]

Full Back Shuffle Never Ends
The Eagles have announced that DT Dan Klecko will now be the full time full back. Tony Hunt started the season at FB, but will go back to playing his natural position, RB.
When the Eagles signed Klecko in march, the original plan was for him to be the teams full back. That experiment did not last long, and he was quickly changed to defensive tackle. Desperate for a FB, the Birds’ traded for Luke Lawton from the Colts, but he was unable to even make the final roster cuts.
In a somewhat surprising move, Andy Reid announced that RB Tony Hunt [...]
