There’s no better way to start off your day than with the latest news regarding your Philadelphia Eagles. Now that you’ve had your good night of sleep, it’s time to heat up that morning pot of coffee, splash some water on your face to wake yourself up and of course, don’t forget your morning serving of Bacon, Eggs and Eagles!

Former Jets player Bart Scott bashes Chip Kelly and his ‘scientists and stuff’ – Jimmy Kempski of PhillyVoice.com

"Apearing on the Joe and Evan Show on WFAN New York, former Ravens and Jets LB and current contributor on “NFL Today on CBS” Bart Scott revealed that he is not a fan of Chip Kelly, whom Scott never actually mentioned by name.“I’m rooting for the Jets,” said Scott, “and not just because I played for the Jets, but because I love a good car crash. I love a good accident waiting to happen. You have one guy who thinks he’s the smartest guy in the world. Trust me, I played for Brian Billick, so I’m used to being around guys that believe that they’re really smart, and Brian was. But come on now, are you kidding me? This guy needs to figure out what time to get a protein shake because obviously he’s giving the protein shakes at the wrong time, with his scientists and stuff that he has back there, because his teams aren’t ready to play in the first half.”Ah, protein shakes. Clever. Anything else, Bart?"

Eagles’ Brandon Bair likely get 1st NFL start -€“ Les Bowen of Philly.com

"BENNIE LOGAN took over as starting nose tackle for Isaac Sopoaga at the midpoint of the 2013 season. Since then, for every game the Eagles have played, the starting defensive line has been Fletcher Cox, Logan and Cedric Thornton.Thornton broke a bone in his right hand last Sunday against Dallas, though, so that streak is expected to end this week at the Jets. (Thornton should be out a few weeks.) The team hasn’t said exactly how it plans to handle Thornton’s absence, and reporters aren’t allowed to watch the parts of practice that would tell us that, but with 2014 fifth-round defensive end Taylor Hart also not practicing this week because of a right shoulder injury, it seems very likely that Brandon Bair will get his first NFL start, just a couple of months shy of his 31st birthday."

Golden Opportunity For Marcus Smith Awaits €“- Alex Smith of PhiladelphiaEagles.com

"With Kiko Alonso and Mychal Kendricks out for Sunday’s game, the Eagles will need to do some shuffling in the linebacking corps. The team re-signed Najee Goode earlier this week, and head coach Chip Kelly has already explained that Brad Jones will move back inside to provide depth behind DeMeco Ryans at Jordan Hicks. With all of those pieces moving around, there appears to be an opportunity for outside linebacker Marcus Smith to shine.Fans all know Smith’s story. The first round pick in 2014 struggled to get playing time during his rookie season, partly because of Trent Cole, Connor Barwin and Brandon Graham in front of him, but also because of Smith’s difficulty in adapting to the NFL level. But if there was ever a time for Smith to prove himself as a first-round talent and become a valuable piece of the Eagles’ defense, this weekend’s pivotal game against the New York Jets is precisely that moment."
