Five Underrated Draft Prospects The Philadelphia Eagles Should Target
By Ryan Quigley
Sean Davis, CB, Maryland
Davis is an athletically gifted defensive back with the ability to play either corner or safety. However, he may be better suited to play safety at the next level, which would help round out the Eagles’ safety group.

Davis and Houston-Carson have almost identical measurables, both standing at 6’1″, 201 pounds. Davis’ size will be attractive regardless of which position he plays at the next level. He is a tackling machine, recording over 300 tackles as a corner in his four-year tenure at Maryland despite playing mostly a reserve role as a freshman. Davis is capable in coverage, but excels at stopping the run. He has a knack for causing turnovers, recording five interceptions and forcing seven fumbles in his college career (five of those forced fumbles came in his senior year).
Both Davis and Houston-Carson would be terrific selections later in the draft. It just depends on which type of player would better fit the Eagles’ defense. If the Eagles are looking for a more aggressive safety, Davis would be their man. But if they want to add a cover safety, Houston-Carson would be the better option.
