First Round (No. 2 Overall): Carson Wentz, QB, North Dakota State

Projecting the Philadelphia Eagles’ first pick in the 2016 NFL Draft is relatively simple. Barring a cataclysmic surprise by the Los Angeles Rams, the Eagles will select North Dakota State quarterback Carson Wentz with the second overall pick. Wentz offers a unique blend of athleticism, leadership, and upside. The addition of Chase Daniel during the offseason and the inevitable(?) trade of Sam Bradford leaves little experience at signal-caller for the Eagles ahead of Wentz. Fortunately, or unfortunately, Wentz is placed in a position where he can learn on the bench for the beginning of his career. Head coach Doug Pederson has firsthand experience of a quarterback selected in the top-five and sitting behind a veteran.

Despite the bounty given up to obtain the second pick and the rights to Wentz, the Eagles still possess seven additional picks. Where can they benefit the most from these middle-round picks?
