Let’s all take a look beyond the big names in free agency.

There’s DeSean Jackson, Alshon Jeffery, Kenny Stills, Terrell Pryor and the list goes on. Much has been made about the Philadelphia Eagles dire need for a top-tier wide receiver this offseason, and there’s no doubt the Eagles front office needs to go big when it comes to upgrading the position. That being said, the Eagles would be smart to sign multiple receivers when free agency begins on March 9th. Here is a brief list of some names that may fly under the radar that may be better options for the Eagles.

The List:

Robert Woods, 24 years old, Buffalo Bills

Woods checks all the boxes of a young player who can grow with Carson Wentz for years to come. Drafted out of USC, Woods was a solid contributor during his four years with the Bills. He hauled in 203 catches for 2,451 yards while appearing in 57 career games. That isn’t bad considering the shaky quarterback play in Buffalo over that time. In addition, he had to play in the shadow of Sammy Watkins. He’s young, and there’s a good chance Woods hasn’t even scratched the surface of his full potential. Heading to Philadelphia for a change of scenery might be the perfect place for him to take the next step.

Adam Thielen, 26 years old, Minnesota Vikings

Thielen had a breakout year while catching passes from Sam Bradford in 2016. He led the Vikings in receiving, finishing the season with 967 yards on 69 catches. An underrated deep threat, Thielen was a bright spot in Minnesota’s 28th ranked offense, and he provided Bradford a big target who consistently got open and made tough catches.

Thielen will be a restricted free agent, and that means the Vikings could decide to place a tender on him rather than locking him up to a long-term deal. The Eagles could swoop in and sign him to an offer sheet worth more money. For a more detailed definition of how that works, click here.

Terrance Williams, 27 years old, Dallas Cowboys

When he wasn’t making boneheaded mistakes like failing to get out of bounds during the last seconds of a week one game against the New York Giants, Williams showed he can be a solid second option on a team like the Eagles. 2016 was a down year for him statistically, but he still managed to snag 44 receptions for 594 yards. Williams also caught 72 percent of the passes he was targeted on. That was the highest of his career. With the Cowboys’ salary cap issues and wide receiver Brice Butler also headed for free agency, Williams will likely be looking for a new team. Why not join a division rival?

Kamar Aiken, 27 years old, Baltimore Ravens

Expectations were high for Aiken coming off a 2015 season in which he caught 75 passes for 944 yards. Those expectations went unfulfilled, and he finished the season with 328 yards. His only touchdown came in a week 15 contest against the Eagles. Aiken made it known he was disappointed calling his season “frustrating”, and the hope for him would be to return to his 2015 form with a new team. Aiken could be the most low-cost, low-risk option out of all the names on this list.
